Their first independent piece, an electronic, whimsical lullaby, was duly released on the Dutch label “EatThis records”, (etr7: jip [cd, album]).
Using various forms of aural mediums, they worked on their first EP: "Wish You Were There", with Henk creating menacing rhythm tracks and guitar samples and Luisa on vocals, as well as violin and computer samples. Will Reever on bass and Jo Meares on guitar completed the live outfit. They played across Sydney and in other states in Australia, 2004.
The following year, Henk and Luisa had moved back to Europe and began immediate work on a follow-up album. “Circles of Longitude” was completed, receiving enthusiastic reviews in European forums. Headcollision also featured on an album of up-and-coming Dutch artists by the national pop institute and had a performance broadcast for an online music program. Audiences across The Netherlands were treated with mixed-media performances, including Eelco Bosman on guitar, and eventually Maarten Heintges on drums in 2006. The line-up: 2 guitars, voice and drums weaving around the large chunk of twisted and dangerous computer samples and broken beats.
A third album is due to be completed at the end 2006.
